Accessibility Disclaimer
The website of the West Coast University of Applied Sciences has been programmed in compliance with BITV standards. The Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV) refers to the Disability Equality Act (BGG) and applies to all publicly accessible websites of the Federal Administration. The standards of the BITV pursue the goal of creating websites in such a way that disabled people can easily use them.

The BITV standards include a valid XHTML/ HTML5 module for easier and faster presentation. It also dispenses with outdated components and generates a uniform navigation interface. The new standards ensure that the context of the page does not change unexpectedly, that unannounced pop-ups do not occur, and that media (such as images and sound) do not play automatically. Furthermore, the content areas of the website are clearly structured, both in the output as well as in the source text. In addition, the necessary parts of the website are equipped with the corresponding title and alt attributes. Every attempt is made to prevent flickering, colour changes or contrast changes from leading to disturbances and last, but not least, the contents therefore have sufficient contrast, a variable font size and contain no graphics as a font replacement.
