Properties define our lives. We live in them, work in and on them. The habitable surface of our planet cannot be increased without limit. Real estate is valuable.
The bachelor programme in Real Estate Business Studies (REBS) is offered at the West Coast University of Applied Science (FHW) with a standard course length of six semesters. Courses only start in the winter semester. An internship semester, either domestically or abroad, is planned for the fourth semester. The study programme is characterised by a large number of optional modules. The choices of modules lead to more in-depth knowledge in one of the six majors on offer. Using the acquired knowledge, the REBS students learn to independently solve various tasks in and around real estate. For this, at the FHW we provide them with comprehensive content for dealing with managerial responsibilities:

• Expertise: Broad basic knowledge, linguistic skills and in-depth knowledge in the chosen majors
• Social competence: Individual development of the personality in seminars with topics like business management, public speaking, presentation and management techniques, and project management
• International competence: Optional semester abroad, various partially real estate specific language modules (participation in Business English I - III is therefore mandatory),
• Practical competence: Internship semester projects in courses as well as the possibility of practical undergraduate work for the Bachelor thesis in collaboration with industry.

The REBS study programme prepares students for the carrying out of executive functions in commercial real estate and service companies of different sizes and in different industries e.g. manager in real estate management office, team leader in facility management and lots more.
