FHWconnect - The buddy program for international students!

A new round of the “FHWconnect” program, which supports international students, begins at the start of each semester. Take part and shape your everyday study life together with others!

What can you expect?

The program promotes exchange between international students and fellow German students. You decide for yourself how often and in what way you meet - whether in person or online. This allows you to learn from each other, discover new perspectives and support each other.

As a connector, you make the difference:

• Volunteer for your fellow students and help them navigate their studies.
• Become part of a network and develop new skills that will also help you in your career.
• Experience how enriching it is to promote exchange with international students.

As a Connectee you benefit from:

• Support with your studies and improving your German language skills.
• A direct contact person who is available to answer your questions.
• The opportunity to make new friends and expand your network in Heide and the surrounding area.

Why should you join?

For Connectors (students from the 2nd semester onwards):

• You will receive a certificate for your volunteer work at the end of the semester.
• Build international friendships and a strong network.
• Learn valuable soft skills that are in demand on the job market.
• Take part in regular events and spend exciting times together.

For Connectees (internationals):

• Improve your German language skills.
• Get help with study content and organization.
• Benefit from a direct contact person who will support you.
• Make new friends and expand your network.
