The Wi-Fi is campus-wide.

Attention!
Multiple Wi-Fi networks are active on campus. Please make sure that your computer connects to WLAN-Stud or eduroam . The eduroam is also available at many other universities worldwide. If you want to connect to eduroam outside of the FHW, then put @fh-westkueste.de at the end of your user name.

The login is the same as the login in the computer laboratories. An initial password is given to the students at the commencement of their studies.

Anyone that has problems connecting to the Wi-Fi is welcome to come past the IT Services office for help.

As part of a community of solidarity the users are responsible for the functionality and status of the network. Therefore, they are requested to report the following to the network administration:

1. technical defects
2. information obtained unintentionally
3. recognised vulnerabilities

With the use of the facilities of the university network, you recognise that: personal data may be stored for operational reasons; for operational reasons, the administrators have access to all user data in principle, whereby members of the network administration are prohibited from accessing the private data (e.g. email) of users; despite the continuous efforts of the network administration to prevent misuse of the network devices and user data, for technical reasons it cannot be completely excluded.

The users can make a significant contribution to privacy by adhering to these User Regulations.
